Job Description:
We are looking for a Creditor Disability Claims Assistant in Toronto, ON
The Creditor Disability Claims Assistant is responsible for handling all incoming CIBC Creditor initial claims and requests via fax, phone and email and to ensure that claim contents are all in tact so that the Claims staff can assess and process Creditor life, disability, and job loss claims within the department specified turnaround times. This involves identifying new and recurring creditor claims, recording incoming mail and distribution of claim files to Claims staff on same day claim is received. The Creditor Disability Claims Assistant will report to the CIBC Team Manager.
What you will do

  • Sorting of all mail received and scanning into proper client based email boxes
  • Sort, match and mail creditor claim cheques, system produced letters and
  • Ensure envelopes for couriers are ready on time for pick up
  • Complete daily requests sent to the Creditors, claimants and estates to obtain the necessary claim documentation prior to adjudication
  • Receiving and respond to incoming emails from client email boxes on Outlook
  • Corresponding with claimants and estates (including telephone conversations)
  • Liaising with the Creditors (Banks)
  • Preparation of new claims and reoccurring mail received for existing claims, downloading claims received by email/mail/portal or fax into Creditor claims system
  • follow ups on pending information with clients/claimants & estates
  • Entering claim information on database mainframe
  • Insuring all couriers are ready to go at appropriate time.
